Hotel Accommodations
Conference sessions will be held at the Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans, 921 Canal Street. Due to exceptionally high attendance, the initial room block has already filled. Grantmakers for Education has arranged an additional room block at Iberville Suites, 910 Iberville Street, one block from the Ritz-Carlton. Iberville Suites is offering a special discounted rate for our conference participants of $169.00 per night plus tax for single or double occupancy.
To make your hotel reservation, please call Iberville Suites directly at 504.523.2400. Please identify yourself as a Grantmakers for Education conference participant to get the conference rate.
The special conference rate is only available until Friday, September 24 or when the GFE reserved block fills, whichever comes first. There is a large convention in New Orleans at the same time as our conference, so we advise you to reserve your room early.

Getting There
From the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, shuttles and taxis provide fast and economic transportation to Iberville Suites and The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans.
Taxi fare from the airport to the hotel is $33 for one or two passengers, and $14 for each additional passenger. Approximate travel time is 25-30 minutes. The Airport Shuttle is located at the lower level by the baggage claim area; the reservation desk is operated daily 6AM to midnight. Fare is $20 per person. Approximate travel time is 30-45 minutes. No advance reservations are required. If you’re driving, overnight valet parking is available at Iberville Suites or the Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans at the rate of $32 per night.
If you prefer to take public transit, the E2 - Airport Route provides service from the airport down Airline Drive into New Orleans. The Airport bus stop is on the second level of the airport, near the Delta counter, in the median (look for the sign and bench). The fare for the Airport Downtown Express route is $2.00 to go to downtown New Orleans.
For your return trip, the concierge can assist in reserving transportation from the hotel to the airport. Call the concierge 24 hours in advance to arrange departure with the Airport Shuttle; you should schedule your pick-up three hours prior to your flight departure. Fare is $20 per person, reservations are required. Cabs are also available from the hotel to the airport; please consult with the concierge to arrange a cab.
