- The conference featured two case study seminars -- special opportunities to probe fundamental questions about grantmaking craft and impact using Grantmakers for Education’s case studies. Led by Jim Honan, an expert case instructor from Harvard University, these highly interactive seminars are limited to 30 participants. (Advance work required.) Tuesday, 8:30 - 10:00 am or 2:00 - 3:30 pm.
- Attend any of the out-of-school time sessions designed to appeal to funders of all sizes working across the spectrum of out-of-school time, and in such a way that you needn't commit to attending the full series to get value from it. Monday, 1:45–3:15 pm, Monday, 3:45–5:15 pm, Tuesday, 8:30–10:00 am, Tuesday, 2:00–3:30 pm or Tuesday, 6:30–8:30 pm.
- Center for Effective Philanthropy President Phil Buchanan will lead an interactive session in our Foundation Leaders Institute . FLI engages foundation trustees and CEOs to identify new ways philantropy can lead and encourage bolder action in education. It is designed to spark reflection and to arm you with practical knowledge you can apply in your quest for impact. Wednesday, 10:00 am - 2:30 pm.
- This year’s host committee has designed three special narrated tours of neighborhoods so you can discover what makes Baltimore’s comprehensive community and education reforms unique—and to delve deep with key local visionaries to learn how their challenges, lessons learned and successes to date might inform change efforts in the communities where you fund. Tuesday, 2:00–5:30 pm.
