Join the EdFunders Out-of-School Time Impact Group for an ongoing conversation with Grantmakers for Education members who fund or are interested in funding the out-of-school time sector. Each video call will provide opportunities for learning and collaboration.

Register once for the ongoing series and join as your schedule allows. Registration is open to Grantmakers for Education member funders.

Calls are scheduled from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. ET on the first Tuesday every other month.

Tuesday, December 5: How Funders Can Support the OST Workforce

The skills, attitudes and knowledge of afterschool and youth development staff are the foundation of program quality and the main drivers of youth and program outcomes. Our field faces complex, interrelated and structural challenges to supporting the workforce, including: improving compensation and benefits; increasing access to professional development and career pathways; expanding leadership roles for Black, Indigenous, and other people of color; strengthening the capacity of provider organizations; and catalyzing narrative change about the value and talent of youth workers.
 
We know that advancing solutions will require creativity and investment at the local, state, and federal levels. Philanthropy has a powerful, catalytic opportunity to act. Join the December 5 funder meetup for a conversation with peers exploring how funders can support the OST workforce.
