Building Parent Power Webinar Series

Bellwether Education Partners and PIE Network

Virtual

Bellwether's recent essay collection, Building Parent Power, profiled five organizations working to help parents create and sustain the change they believe is right for their children and their schools. In this webinar series co-hosted by Bellwether and the PIE Network, leaders from "parent power" organizations will discuss their work and offer lessons for anyone looking to start or support similar organizations in their community.

The first webinar (July 19) will feature parent power leaders of color discussing how they founded and grew their organizations. Panelists will include:
- Daniel Anello, Kids First Chicago
- Jamilah Prince-Stewart, FaithActs for Education
- Maya Martin Cadogan, Parents Amplifying Voices in Education

The second webinar (August 9) will feature successor leaders of parent power organizations discussing how they've scaled their organizations to new cities and built national capacity.
Panelists will include:
- Darcel Sanders, GO Public Schools
- Michelle Vilchez, Innovate Public Schools

Participants only need to register once to attend either or both webinars.
