Board Members’ Role in Equitable Grantmaking: A Conversation with the Walter and Elise Haas Fund
Many foundations have committed to shifting grantmaking practice and strategy to center equity. What this looks like varies from foundation to foundation, and the level of engagement from foundation board members and trustees in this work also varies.
Members are invited to join the Equity & Grantmaking Impact Group to hear directly from Jennifer C. Haas, trustee of the Walter and Elise Haas Fund, and Jamie Allison, executive director of the Walter and Elise Haas Fund, as they reflect together on how they personally and collectively have engaged alongside their board and staff on how to live out their commitments to equity and how they’ve changed their own grantmaking practice.
In this funder meetup, participants will have time to engage with peer funders to reflect and apply insights to their own work.
This session is open to EdFunders members that are grantmakers.
