Supportive Learning Environments for Belonging and Deeper Learning

Southern Education Foundation and partners

Virtual

Join the National Academy of Education and the Equity Assistance Center-South at the Southern Education Foundation for a webinar focused on supportive learning environments.

This session brings together leading research and educator experience to examine how learning, development, relationships, and context influence student engagement, belonging, and access to deeper learning.

Featuring Mary Helen Immordino-Yang alongside three educators, this conversation will connect insights from the learning sciences, human development, and neuroscience with what those ideas look like in practice for students and teachers.

Participants will leave with:

  1. A stronger understanding of how students experience learning environments.
  2. A shared language for discussing belonging, development, motivation, and the conditions that support deeper learning.
  3. Core ideas to help educators strengthen supportive learning conditions.
