Resources: Financing Out-of-School Time slide deck

At the end of the day, philanthropic funding is never going to be enough to provide access to high quality out-of-school time programs and other critical services and support for youth. Even – or especially – in this time of unprecedented uncertainty and the prospect of severe budget shortfalls at all levels of government – we need to better understand how philanthropy at the local, regional and national levels can catalyze better policy and expanded, sustainable public financing to support young people. Our September 18 conversation will highlight how the Children’s Funding Project works with communities to identify and align resources, generate new funding, and activate funds for maximum impact. We’ll dive in with Elizabeth Gaines, Founder and Director, and Ryan Lugalia-Hollon, ED of the Up Partnership in San Antonio to understand the approach they are taking to build expanded, sustainable funding support for youth. The conversation will be moderated by Dale Robinson Anglin, Cleveland Foundation, Program Director, Youth, Health & Human Services.
