SkillWorks, a collaborative workforce funding initiative of TBF, presents a public forum exploring the past and present-day challenges facing Boston’s Black labor force. Topics are grounded in Dr. Jaqueline Jones’ latest book, No Right to an Honest Living: The Struggles of Boston’s Black Workers in the Civil War Era, a historical account of Black workers and the barriers they faced finding employment in progressive Boston.
