AMA w/the Center on Poverty & Social Policy on the Child Tax Credit
The US has one of the highest child poverty rates of any developed nation. During the pandemic, an expanded Child Tax Credit (CTC) reduced child poverty by half. That expansion has lapsed and child poverty is again on the rise. There are many iterations of the CTC being considered at both federal and state levels. Co-hosted by the Children, Youth and Family Funders Roundtable and the Tax Equity Funders Network, you are invited to join us as we speak with Megan Curran and Sophie Collyer from the Center on Poverty and Social Policy. Megan and Sophie will walk us through different ways the CTC can be structured to maximize impact. We'll also cover research on how the CTC is used by families and other ideas they have for child poverty reduction.
Participation in this virtual meeting is limited to staff of charitable foundations and philanthropic advisors.
