Dual Enrollment’s Future: The Equitable Expansion of College Access & Success

Midwestern Higher Education Compact

Virtual

On June 1, the U.S. Department of Education issued a call to action to the field to boldly reimagine how students transition from high school through postsecondary education and into careers. Thank you for joining us on this journey to celebrate career and college pathways to success for all students.

On August 4, we’ll be hosting our second webinar featuring a panel of dual enrollment policy, practice, and research professionals to review:

-Current state policy and practice
-The future of dual enrollment
-The role of federal policy

The number of students participating in dual enrollment, concurrent enrollment, and early college high school programs has increased significantly in the last decade. Research demonstrates that these strategies have the potential to significantly increase student access to and success in college. As a result, policy and practice leaders have been focused on working to intentionally expand access to historically marginalized learners. This session will also include a summary of the latest research evidence for dual enrollment, from the recently published Research Priorities for Advancing Equitable Dual Enrollment Policy and Practice.
