Equity & Grantmaking Impact Group Learning Community: December 2022

Grantmakers for Education

Virtual

This Equity & Grantmaking Impact Group six-meeting learning arc creates opportunities for peer-led learning and strategizing on how we, as education grantmakers, might rethink our grantmaking practices to drive an equity agenda. The impact group will meet virtually on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 2-3:30pm ET. Meeting dates are:

  • September 13, 2022
  • October 11, 2022
  • November 8, 2022
  • December 13, 2022
  • January 10, 2023
  • February 14, 2023

EdFunders asks interested members to commit to participating in at least four of the six monthly meetings in order to create a consistent community with opportunities for building relationship and trust amongst members.

Areas of Focus

Over the course of the six-meeting learning arc, EdFunders will create opportunities for peer-led learning, strategizing and ideating on how we, as education grantmakers, might rethink traditional metrics, implement trust-based philanthropy, and drive an equity agenda through our grantmaking. Sessions will include a mixture of funder and non-funder leaders sharing insights and experiences, peer-to-peer sharing and troubleshooting, and time for collective and individual reflection and application.

This opportunity is exclusive to Grantmakers for Education members who are funders. There is no cost to attend this Grantmakers for Education program.

Registration for the series closed August 26, 2022.  In efforts to make this a meaningful learning opportunity, we will cap the size of the group. We encourage you to sign up early to ensure the group does not fill up. Thank you for your patience; we review each registration in advance.
