Equity & Grantmaking Impact Group Meeting

Grantmakers for Education

Virtual

May 19, 12:00 pm ET

Over the last year, many of you joined us in conversations exploring racial justice, inequities in our education system, and how we, as grantmakers, can start to address the systemic, institutional, and personal barriers that get in the way of implementing more equitable grantmaking practices. On March 21, we started the conversation about Shifting Power in Grantmaking and heard from several funding colleagues about how they’re exploring ways to center equity in their grantmaking process.

Please join us on May 19 from 12-1 pm ET to continue the conversation and help shape EdFunder’s newest impact group: Equity & Grantmaking. You’ll join fellow funders who are interested in exploring themes such as:

  • Understanding which grantmaking practices perpetuate inequities.
  • Practicing authentic grantee and stakeholder engagement.
  • Shifting board culture and practices.
  • Exploring what equitable outcomes measurement might look like.

We hope you’ll join us as we grapple with the inherent power dynamics of philanthropy and support one another in taking actionable steps towards more equitable grantmaking practices.

This event is intended for members and other education grantmakers. The session will run for one hour.

There is no cost to attend this Grantmakers for Education program. Registration closes 15 minutes prior to the program time. Thank you for your patience; we review each registration in advance.
