LEAD Impact Group Learning Session

Grantmakers for Education

Virtual

July 26, 2023, 1:00 pm ET

Members are invited to join EdFunders' Learning, Evaluation and Data (LEAD) Impact Group to hear about and discuss the latest public interest research on today's urgent topics, and how to effectively frame communications for constructive engagement.

This session will feature a presentation from Topos PartnershipJoe Grady, co-founder of the Topos Partnership, will share insights from Topos’s ongoing, in-depth research into Americans’ thinking about public interest topics. Specifically, the discussion will focus on how broad public audiences respond to messages on three related issues: racial equity, the collection and use of data for social purposes, and education.  Grantees who work in these areas may face a variety of challenges when addressing these topics, and funders themselves may also need to be aware of the ways in which communications can be misunderstood or elicit pushback, and of approaches likely to achieve more constructive responses. We'll include time for discussion.

LEAD Impact Group members are invited to stay after the hour to discuss LEAD business.

This event is open to members of Grantmakers for Education.
