Closing the Summer Gap: Lessons from the Field

We all know the statistics on how important summer programs are to young people’s education and development, and yet millions of young people are not able to access high quality programs. To close this gap, the National Summer Learning Association aims to enroll 7 million low-income young people in summer programs by 2030 so that they are not left out of these opportunities to experience joy, growth, and learning over summer.

Join the EdFunders OST Impact Group on Friday, March 20, 12:00-1:00PM ET to hear from NSLA on how we can all contribute to closing this gap. We’ll hear insights from program providers and a funder on how communities are making summer learning and joy happen at scale and with quality. This webinar is free and open to all.  Register once for our monthly series and join as your schedule allows.

Speakers:
  • Aaron Dworkin, CEO, National Summer Learning Association
  • Tysha Hardy-Sellers, Program Director, Education, Lilly Endowment
  • Steven Kahn, Co-Founder, Math Corps, & Director, Mathematics at Wayne State University
  • Vince Marigna, CEO, Breakthrough Collaborative
