Out-of-School Time Monthly Field Convening: Strategies for Supporting Immigrant Children, Youth, & Their Families

Grantmakers for Education

Virtual

September 19, 2025, 12:00 pm ET

Join the EdFunders OST Impact Group on Friday, September 19, 12:00-1:00PM ET for a focused discussion on ways to support immigrant children, youth, and their families. We’ll explore the impacts of changing federal policy; uplift examples of how ExpandLA, a Los Angeles countywide intermediary, is supporting and connecting local OST providers; and we’ll hear directly from an OST practitioner in Los Angeles how they’re supporting young people and their staff through the ongoing immigration raids.

Speakers

  • Seth Eklund, Bresee Foundation, Executive Director
  • Jeanny Marroquín, ExpandLA, Director of Policy & Advocacy
  • Brian Ortega, Unidos US, K-12 Senior Policy Analyst

Note that there will be no field convening in October.
