Embedding Equity in Middle School Advanced Coursework to Foster STEM Identities

The Education Trust

Virtual

Middle school is a crucial time for students to develop college and career aspirations. In this webinar, we’ll share out findings from Ed Trust’s new brief on access to advanced coursework in middle school, including how to foster STEM identities for Black and Latino students and students from low-income backgrounds. Participants will learn about promising practices to increase access and engagement in advanced coursework, get updates in the state and federal policy landscape on increasing access to these classes, and hear from practitioner voices to describe efforts to expand access to advanced coursework in Maryland.
