The Big Vision for the Next Stage of Education Philanthropy: Webinar

Grantmakers for Education

Virtual

December 9, 2020

How should philanthropy support young people in this perilous time in US history? The confluence of a global pandemic, an economic crisis, and a nationwide call for racial justice will fundamentally alter the lives of all American learners. Change is inevitable, but whether it will widen inequity or result in systemic change that narrows societal gaps, is still unknown. The direction and character this moment of disruption will take depends, in part, on how the philanthropic community chooses to take part in it.

This fall, Grantmakers for Education embarked on a survey to ask urgent questions of the education funding community about these issues. Join GFE Executive Director Celine Coggins for an exploration of the fascinating findings of the survey covering five interlocking themes central to transforming education and the official release of the report.

If you attended our conference plenary on October 14, you saw the sneak peek. Join this webinar for more details, an in-depth discussion on the data and a chance to ask questions about a funder vision that points to urgency, opportunity and change.

This event is intended for members and education grantmakers. There is no cost to attend this Grantmakers for Education program.
